Hey, Chris here. If you're not one of my regular subscribers, let me
quickly tell you that things like slow Internet,
unwanted pop-ups, adware, spyware, DLL error
messages and a host of other computer issues
make me crazy. Troubleshooting computer problems
is no picnic, especially trying to do it
manually.
Here's The Problem...
Your computer's registry is exactly that - a registry. It
houses massive amounts of good and bad
information. The good stuff belongs there, but
the bad stuff can really mess with your mind.
Speed and efficiency are minimum demands for the savvy PC
user. You're not interested in a system
slowdown, let alone (heaven forbid!) an entire
crash of your computer. But ongoing use,
even after a short timeframe, can wreak havoc on
a computer resulting from acts as simple as
program installations or un-installations.
Error messages are always fun. A couple 'favorites' of mine are the
DLL or Win32 error messages. Most times it's
difficult at best to pinpoint what type of
errors these messages are even conveying. And
when the computer system sends an alert that
there's a Javascript or ActiveX
error, it can be a real test to isolate.
And the dreaded Runtime error message! What's that
about? Internet Explorer or Windows Installers
(or uninstallers) problems, EXE errors, System32
errors, even email troubles with Outlook
or Outlook Express!
What Happened...
For me, the solution's quite clear. Find
something or someone who could fix the problems
fast because I really don't want to be faced
with re-installing Windows or physically turning
my computer over to the soonest-available techie
geeks and be at their mercy for turn-around
time.
I researched over a dozen registry clean-up and repair systems
to make sure they would cover every possible
troubleshooting issue, so I wouldn't end up with
multiple purchases just because I wasn't careful
enough upfront to avoid that .
I found 2. Here's an overview of
both...and make sure you read my
conclusion at the end...
